Product Overview

The Spring is a component in dock pedal of the patient table assembly. It can fit into both aluminum and plastic dock pedals, thus making it backward compatible. The dock pedal is made up of pultruded carbon fiber, which makes it more cost effective than the usual stainless steel springs. The failure rate of the carbon fiber is very minimal, hence the life cycle of the carbon fiber is almost 10 times more than that of the stainless steel. It can persist for a longer period of time. The pultruded carbon fiber has high strength to weight ratio, so it can be used in the applications where the priority goes to resistance against breaking. This unique property of the material, allows materials of different mass to be compared quickly in rigidity sensitive applications. If the requirement needs less weight and increased stiffness, this spring could be the optimum choice. It is being used in XR AMX 4, MR Signa Horizon LX 1.0T, UL Voluson P8, MR Signa HDi 1.5T, UL LOGIQ 500 and other systems.
